ams 4LS – High-Speed Line Scan Image Sensors
|
The 4LS series is the newest family of line scan sensors from ams OSRAM featuring four lines of pixels. The 4LS offers resolutions of 5K, 10K and 15K, using stitching process (multiple segments of 2K5), and is available in both RGB and monochrome variants. Designers can use 4:1 digital TDI (Time Delay Integration) to capture high quality images in low light environments or perform high-speed object inspection.4LS also supports True Color applications with extended spectral range. <br> The four lines of the 4LS sensor can be triggered for exposure, reset independently and have individual gain settings (CDS and ADC gain). In addition, all four lines can be read out simultaneously over LVDS output. 4LS features a global shutter pixel with true CDS (correlated double sampling), allowing a fully pipelined integration, A/D conversion and readout.

The AS1170 is a 2-channel LED/VCSEL driver with integrated boost converter. It can support up to 5.5V output voltage and each channel can support 1000mA output current. Currents can be combined to a total of 2000mA and adjusted using 31.25kHz PWM operation. AS1170 features integrated protection functions against overtemperature, over- or under voltage and open of shorted LED pins. The device has an I2C interface with 2 adresses, selectable via an I2C select pin. The 13 balls WLCSP makes this chip a good fit wherever high output currents and a tiny footprint are needed.

|
The CHR71000 is a high resolution CMOS image sensor with 10000 by 7096 pixels. The image array consists of 3.1μm x 3.1μm pinned diode pixels which share a number of transistors (2 pixels sharing). The image sensor has 8 analog outputs, each running at 30MHz. This results in a frame rate of 3fps at full resolution. Higher frame rates can be achieved in windowing mode or subsampling mode. The image sensor also integrates a programmable gain amplifier and offset regulation. These and other settings are all programmable using the SPI interface. All internal exposure and read out timings are generated by a programmable on-board sequencer. External triggering and exposure programming is also possible. |
Dragster is a platform of digital line-scan sensors. The sensor family is made using three types of basic elements: a single line element from 2K to 8K pixel resolution (7 μm pixel size and pitch), a dual line element from 2K to 8K pixel resolution (7 μm pixel size and pitch) and a single line element from 4K to 16K pixel resolution (3.5 μm pixel size and pitch). The chip versions with dual line are optionally available with Bayer Pattern RGB filters placed on the sensors.<br> The sensor features a low noise pixel with true CDS and global shutter for interleaved readout and integration operation. Start and end of integration, as well as optional start of readout, are started upon individual external trigger events. <br> The readout is made by digital taps organized in odd/even order for each 2K segment. For each line segment, 2K (7 μm pixel) or 4K (3.5 μm pixel), all pixels are read out. For sensor versions with 3.5 μm pixel pitch, two 2K segment readout circuits are placed on each side of the pixel line, to lead to a basic segment of 4K pixels, where even pixels are read out over the bottom readout and odd pixels are read out over the top readout.

It provides single zone detection of an object irrespective of the color, reflectivity and texture of the object.<br/><br/>The single module with VCSEL emitter offers high dynamic range and operates in either a proximity mode (0 – 10 cm) or a ranging mode (10 – 60 cm) for detection sensing. The device utilizes highly sensitive SPAD detection with fast compact time-to digital converters to make high accurate distance measurement within ±5% and is capable of operation in dark environments.<br/><br/> A built-in histogram is featured to detect cover glass and objects behind glass to select object with highest SNR while compensating for dirt and smudges on cover glass to produce artifact free measurement of multiple objects. The histogram enables greater distance between cover glass, delivers dynamic cover glass calibration and crosstalk compensation. Class 1 eye safety is also featured through the narrow sub-nanosecond (<500 ps) fast pulse 940 nm VCSEL driver. Background light noise is minimized through on-chip superior sunlight rejection filter. ams TSL1401CCS Linear Array Sensor
|
The TSL1401CCS linear sensor array consists of an 128 × 1 array of photodiodes, associated charge amplifier circuitry, and a pixel data-hold function that provides simultaneous integration start and stop times for all pixels. The pixels measure 63.5μm (H) by 55.5μm (W) with 63.5μm center-to-center spacing and 8μm spacing between pixels. Operation is simplified by internal control logic that requires only a serial-input (SI) signal and a clock.<br>

ams AS7341 – 11-Channel Spectral Color Sensor
|
AS7341 is an 11-channel multi-spectral sensor for color detection and spectral analysis applications. The spectral response is defined in the wavelengths from approximately 350nm to 1000nm. 6 channels can be processed in parallel by independent ADCs while the other channels are accessible via a multiplexer. 8 optical channels cover the visible spectrum, one channel can be used to measure near infra-red light and one channel is a photo diode without filter (“clear”). The device also integrates a dedicated channel to detect 50Hz or 60Hz ambient light flicker. The flicker detection engine can also buffer data for calculating other flicker frequencies externally. The NIR channel in combination with the other VIS channel may provide information of surrounding ambient light conditions (light source detection). The device can also be synchronized to external signals via pin GPIO. <br> AS7341 integrates filters into standard CMOS silicon via Nano-optic deposited interference filtertechnology and its package provides a built in aperture to control the light entering the sensor array. <br> Control and Spectral data access is implemented through a serial I²C interface. The device is available in an ultra-low profile package with dimensions of 3.1mm x 2mm x 1mm.

The AS7261 integrates Gaussian interference filter technology to enable chromatic white color sensor which provides direct XYZ color coordinates consistent with the CIE 1931 2° standard observer color coordinates. Additional mapping of XYZ coordinates to the x, y (Y) of the 2-dimensional color gamut and scales of the CIE 1976 u’v’ coordinate system, providing accurate correlated color temperature (CCT) measurements and color point deviation from the black body curve for white light color in the ∆u’v’ coordinate system. A near-IR channel and LED drivers with programmable currents increase application flexibility, including support for electronic shutter applications. <br> <br> Control and spectral data access is implemented either through either the I²C virtual register set, or via the serial UART enabling use of the high level smart spectral command set.

The AS7265x family incorporates 3 chips to deliver an 18-channel multi-spectral sensing array covering wavelengths from 410nm to 940nm. The AS72651 covers NIR wavelengths from 600nm to 870nm and serves as the master controller for the set. When combined with the AS72652 (spectral response from 560nm to 940nm) and the AS72653 (spectral response from 410nm to 535nm) the full set delivers 18-channels with FWHM of 20nm. The device family integrates Gaussian filters into standard CMOS silicon via nano-optic deposited interference filter technology in LGA packages, and each AS7265x device has two integrated LED drivers with programmable current and which can be timed for electronic shutter applications.

|
The CMV50000 is a high speed CMOS image sensor with 7920 x 6004 effective pixels (47.5Mp) developed for machine vision and video applications. The image array consists of 4.6μm pipelined 8T global shutter pixels which allow exposure during read out, while performing true CDS (Correlated Double Sampling) operation. The image sensor has 22 12-bit sub-LVDS data outputs. The image sensor also integrates a programmable analog gain amplifier and offset regulation. Each output channel runs up to 830 Mbps maximum which results in 30 fps frame rate at full resolution in 12-bit. Higher frame rates can be achieved in row-windowing mode or row-subsampling mode. These modes are all programmable using the SPI interface. All internal exposure and read out timings are generated by a programmable on-board sequencer. External triggering and exposure programming is also possible.
