Sensing and illumination solutions for inspection systems
ams OSRAM delivers state-of-the-art components that boost the effectiveness and adaptability of optical, magnetic and electrical inspection systems.
Helping machines to better see their world
Most prominent inspection systems are based on machine vision solutions, which could be 1D using line scanners, or 2D/3D using advanced camera systems with high end-image sensors and use-case specific illumination, e.g. in infrared spectrum.
For non-invasive inspection there is also option to perform X-ray or CT-scans to visualize e.g. existing cracks or the hidden structure inside of more complex device setups. Finally optical inspection solutions could be realized by using spectroscopic measures with integrated multi-channel color or spectral sensor or flexible assemblies of matching discrete emitters and detectors within the required spectral range, incl. the necessary analog front-end functionality for performing those measurements.
Besides those optical component solutions, ams OSRAM also provides right-fit sensors for impedance-based material analytics using highly sensitive IQ-capacitive sensors or magnetic and inductive sensors for checking the characteristic field aspects of the material / product under inspection.
Whenever it is about optical, magnetic, electrical or mechanical inspection setups, ams OSRAM’s comprehensive portfolio offers the matching sensor solution.
Our portfolio matching sensor is illustrated in the block diagram below. Key components include vision systems, proximity sensing, motor control, laser-based inspection, force & torque inspection, position encoding, and spectral inspection, all crucial for use-case optimized inspection systems.
