The AS726x Demo Kit is a Windows PC-hosted evaluation environment, designed to provide the user an quick-start approach to spectral sensing. The demo kit consists of the Intelligent Spectral Interface (iSPI) board, USB/FTDI cable, and a USB stick which includes drivers, documentation and graphical user interface. The iSPI board is jumper selectable for either I2C or UART interface access via the USB/FTDI cable connection. The I2C interface presents a traditional register based device interface, while the UART interface allows high-level command access to the AS726x device features. The iSPI board includes unpopulated device pads for the installation of standard LED light sources suited to the specific spectral needs of the application. By default, the LED pads are unpopulated.

ams AS7263 6-Ch NIR Spectral Sensing Engine
The AS7263 is a digital 6-channel multi-spectral sensor for spectral identification in the near IR (NIR) light wavelengths. AS7263 consists of 6 independent optical filters whose spectral response is defined in the NIR wavelengths from approximately 600nm to 870nm with full-width half-max (FWHM) of 20nm. An integrated LED driver with programmable current is provided for electronic shutter applications. The AS7263 integrates Gaussian filters into standard CMOS silicon via nano-optic deposited interference filter technology and is packaged an LGA package that provides a built in aperture to control the light entering the sensor array. ams AS7261 Spectral Sensing Engine
The AS7261 integrates Gaussian interference filter technology to enable chromatic white color sensor which provides direct XYZ color coordinates consistent with the CIE 1931 2° standard observer color coordinates. Additional mapping of XYZ coordinates to the x, y (Y) of the 2-dimensional color gamut and scales of the CIE 1976 u’v’ coordinate system, providing accurate correlated color temperature (CCT) measurements and color point deviation from the black body curve for white light color in the ∆u’v’ coordinate system. A near-IR channel and LED drivers with programmable currents increase application flexibility, including support for electronic shutter applications. Control and spectral data access is implemented either through either the I²C virtual register set, or via the serial UART enabling use of the high level smart spectral command set.
