ams OSRAM receives three awards at the German Innovation Award 2025

Premstätten, Austria and Munich, Germany (May 14, 2025) – ams OSRAM received three awards at this year's German Innovation Awards. In the “Excellence in Business to Consumer” category, the LEDguardian ROAD FLARE Signal V16 IoT, the new TYREinflate 2130 and the NIGHT BREAKER® LED SMART each received one of the coveted awards.

The German Innovation Award is presented annually for products, projects and pioneering achievements that drive progress in their industry in a sustainable and innovative way. The awards recognise companies that enrich the lives of various target groups through their innovations.

The LEDguardian ROAD FLARE Signal V16 IoT received a gold award in the “Excellence in Business to Consumer” category. Thanks to its 360° flashing orange light, the warning light, which is approved in Spain, is visible from a great distance both at night and during the day, making it an important safety factor in road traffic. In Spain, networked V16 warning lights such as the LEDguardian ROAD FLARE Signal V16 IoT will be mandatory from 2026 and will replace the warning triangle and analog V16 warning lights. The modern lighting solution is networked with the Spanish DGT 3.0 platform and can automatically warn other road users.

The TYREinflate 2130 is the new premium model in the range and has won an award in the ‘Excellence in Business to Consumer’ category. Designed for speed and ease of use, it is able to inflate a flat tyre in just two minutes¹. It also features auto-stop technology and the largest digital screen in the OSRAM range. The ‘Easyset’ rotary wheel makes operation even easier.

Another winning award went to the popular NIGHT BREAKER® LED SMART. This popular LED retrofit lamp is available in the most popular types H7 LED and H4 LED and has been designed to be particularly compact so that it can be easily installed in even more headlight types, including particularly small ones. The street-legal² retrofit lamps not only set new standards in terms of compactness and compatibility, but also in terms of visibility, durability, reliability and safety.

“We are proud that the jury of the German Innovation Award 2025 has recognized our continuous innovative strength with three awards. Our goal is to develop pioneering lighting and automotive solutions that improve the safety and comfort of our customers. Being recognized by a jury of experts for such a prestigious award confirms our efforts and motivates us to continue to deliver top performance,” said Carsten Setzer, Vice President Automotive at ams OSRAM.

ams OSRAM is also constantly working on extensions to the approval of all OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER® LED series - the complete list of compatible vehicle models can be found here.
