The ams NanEyeC camera module offers a unique solution for video applications where the camera must be virtually invisible to the end user, or be accommodated in a very small space. <br>With a footprint of a just 1 mm², it features a 320x320 resolution with a high sensitive 2.4-micron rolling shutter pixel, with large full well capacitance.The sensor has a high frame rate of about 58 fps to permit SNR enhancement and a smooth, low delay display over a wide range of standard interfaces. Additionally, the frame rate can be set as low as 1 fps for use of extended exposure time and lower power consumption.

The ability of the camera head to drive a signal through a cable makes this the ideal component for minimal diameter endoscopes. <br> With a footprint of just 1 mm x 1 mm, it features a 249x250 resolution with a high sensitive 3 um x 3 um rolling shutter pixel, with large full well capacitance. The sensor has a high frame rate of about 43 fps to 62 fps adjustable over power supply.<br> The sensor includes a 10-bit ADC and a bit serial LVDS data interface, being able to drive the signal through a cable length of up to 3 m. <br> The data line is semi duplex, such that configuration can be communicated to the sensor in the frame brake. <br>

The proximity detection feature provides nearby object detection by photodiode detection of reflected IR energy sourced by the integrated VCSEL emitter. Sensitivity, power consumption, and noise can be optimized with adjustable timing and power. Detect/release events can be interrupt driven, and occur when proximity result crosses upper and/or lower threshold settings. The proximity engine features advanced crosstalk noise cancellation through a wide range offset adjustments to compensate for unwanted IR energy reflection at the sensor. Proximity results are further improved by automatic ambient light subtraction.
